Noticed that A&E Home Video re-released BBC's landmark miniseries Pride & Prejudice Keepsake Edition on blu-ray this month with additional bonus features. Since the film was restored, the material was previously released on blu-ray before this. Although this should please many Colin Firth fans, I would like to appeal to BBC to release another excellent miniseries Elizabeth Gaskell's North & South (2004) on blu-ray. This miniseries stars Richard Armitage & Daniela Denby-Ashe and is really popular.The production quality of this miniseries is also commendable and thus, should receive a blu-ray release too. If BBC decides to release this title on blu-ray, please let it be Region Free with additional bonus materials to allow international fans to enjoy this relatively unknown but excellent miniseries. Another noteworthy release is the 1975 adaption of North & South starring Patrick Stewart on dvd last year.
